• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices in a commercial setting, servicing a variety of vehicles.

• Highly proficient in troubleshooting and computer diagnosis.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics.
• Must be able to diagnose, repair, and work on most, if not all, facets of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools
• Familiarity with using a computer, all mechanics must utilize fleet maintenance software programs.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment and have good decision-making ability.
• Hold Certified Tire Industry Association (TIA), ASE Certifications, and/or other Trade School diploma/certification.
• Advanced-level mechanical experience in maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Experience and ability to be certified for fall protection.
• Experience and ability to be certified as an operator of a boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift.
