  • Experience in radiation therapy and dosimetry
  • Experience should include assisting with calibration of linear accelerators and other radiation sources, clinical dosimetry of external beams and implant sources, patient set up and computerized treatment planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and families.
  • Knowledge of dosimetric terminology, treatment units and simulators

  • MDCB Certified OR Graduate from a JRCERT accredited Medical Dosimetry program OR eligible for certification by the MDCB within hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize/apply knowledge of computers, computer treatment planning, planning techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of radiation physics, dosimetry and State, Federal, and local radiation regulations.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Experience as a certified medical dosimetrist
  • Experience with Varian Eclipse treatment planning, ARIA electronic charting and EPIC medical records systems

4. BA in Radiologic Sciences with 6 Years of Experience

  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, tumor pathology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.

  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics and the ability to develop optimal treatment plans and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist for plan approval and to the Radiation Therapist for plan implementation.
  • Knowledge of healthcare informatics including the resources, devices and methods to acquire, store and retrieve data.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of personal computers and business software applications, including those used to develop treatment plans.
