Job Summary: 

• Examines first and third-party vehicle damage promptly, takes pictures and prepares an automated written appraisal to determine and verify the extent of damage.
• Provides the highest level of service and value to the customer.
• Negotiates completed appraisals with repair facilities to obtain agreed repair costs.
• Some investigation of aspects of loss to ensure damage consistent with facts of loss, prior damages and related vs. unrelated damages.
• Complete all re-inspections of vehicles for repair compliance.
• Inspect and authorize supplement repairs to ensure quality service and thorough repair of vehicle damage.
• Evaluate all aspects of the damaged vehicle to come to a repair vs. total loss conclusion.
• Complete all required documentation including schedules.
• Participates in a program of self-education through observing repair work and keeping abreast of new repair techniques and procedures.
• Maintains a current list of specialty repair shops (glass, trim, frame, tires) and used part suppliers, and uses these firms whenever applicable to provide reduced repair costs.
• Submits a monthly report of assignments to the team manager.
• Participates or leads special projects or training assignments.
