• Experience with ETL tools, including Informatica, BODS, Oracle Data Integration, or SSIS.
• Sound understanding of dimensional modeling and OLAP technologies.
• Proficiency in Active Reports and mobile reporting, with RAVE visualization experience desirable.
• Experience producing requirements, solution design, and implementation documentation.

Cognos Developer produces and maintains relational databases and data warehouse solutions for a mature Agile team with a significant backlog. Working with external and internal partners at both the business and technical levels, the Cognos Developer defines requirements and identifies solutions to meet growing customer expectations.

Operational Focus

• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.
• Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
• Design data warehouse schematics, layouts, and capacity planning, and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
• Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and ensuring data reliability.
• Seek continuous improvement in data warehouse performance and ensure data security.
• Conduct complex work important to the organization.
• Work with external and internal partners to define requirements and identify solutions.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues relating to development of reporting solutions.
• Communicate with business users and other IT groups at a technical and functional level.

Position Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience designing and developing using Cognos, including Framework Manager models, reports, dashboards, and data modules.
• 5 or more years of experience with business intelligence development.
• Development experience with Cognos Analytics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop appropriate documentation, both technical and procedural.
