14. Chef (Casual Dining Restaurant)
Hundreds of fresh, made-to-order dishes reaching guests every day depend on the Chef, who oversees one of four kitchen stations and keeps it running to standard. Based within a fast-service kitchen team, the Chef preps, cooks, and presents each dish to set recipes while keeping the section clean and service-ready.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes, following set recipes and specifications.
- Use fresh ingredients to cook hundreds of dishes for guests every day.
- Own one of four kitchen stations: wok, ramen, teppan, or fry.
- Manage a section, ensuring it is set up, ready for service, and kept clean throughout the shift.
- Keep kitchens clean, safe, and up to a high standard by following health and safety procedures and cleaning practices.
- Work as a team with other chefs, supporting one another during service.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn new skills and cooking techniques, with no previous kitchen experience required.
- Strong interest in food, people, and restaurants.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
