• Serve as point of contact for customer correspondence regarding project submittals and design aspects, and contact customers for additional information as needed.
• Participate in conference or web-based calls to discuss design options or project details.
• Document all changes, issues, requests for information, and communications related to jobs.
• Place purchase orders with vendors through project management software.
• Keep organized records for all projects.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Associate's degree in Design and Drafting Technology or similar experience; building products and industrial product experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter with confident written and verbal communication skills across a variety of team members and customers.
• Ability to multi-task and take on new challenges.
• Employee required to remain seated for continuous periods, work on a computer regularly, and occasionally raise or lower objects of 5–15 pounds.

Draftsman AutoCAD Technician develops and maintains engineering library assets while producing accurate construction drawings from sketches, product design sheets, and marked-up sources in support of both the design and sales departments. The work directly supports the Engineering Manager and the broader design team by ensuring documents meet company standards, processing change orders, and assembling Operation and Maintenance Manuals across active projects.

Work Activities

• Participate with the design team to solve design questions and issues.
• Produce accurate, detailed, working drawings suitable for construction using sketches, product design sheets, and marked-up drawings.
• Process engineering document changes and updates and assist in assembling Operation and Maintenance Manuals and as-built drawings.
• Develop preliminary drawings to assist the sales department in securing new projects.
• Ensure engineering documents are produced in a timely manner and meet company standards; interpret project parameters independently with the aid of the Engineering Manager as needed.
• Develop and archive engineering library assets based on company standards.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Education & Experience

• Applicable technical school or Associate's degree required.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience required.
• Experience with REVIT highly desired.
• Experience in the construction industry is highly desired.
• Experience with Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings is highly desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams desired.
