Job Summary:

• Primary responsibility is to assist the teacher in an assigned classroom, actively participating in the daily operation
• Scheduling and planning of the respective classroom
• Working in partnership with the classroom teacher and classroom aide 
• Provide a developmentally appropriate preschool early education program utilizing approved curriculum resources
• Assist the teacher in developing, implementing and evaluating the curriculum 
• Meet the social, emotional, cognitive, cultural and developmental needs of individual children and adhere to the general curriculum guidelines
• Assist teacher in implementing and maintaining NAEYC licensing requirements in the classroom
• Preparing and facilitating NAEYC accreditation portfolios per the respective classroom

Job Summary:

• Assist in planning and implementing creative, diverse and technology-rich lessons that address the learning needs of students.
• Engage students in activities that empower student learning, including individualized instruction as well as work with small groups.
• Possess a strong and broad sense of the scope and sequence of middle level English, Language Arts.
• Assist students with various projects and curriculum tasks.
• Supervise students during co-curricular activities, arrival, dismissal, lunch periods and field trips.
• Teach small group academic support lessons to students who would benefit from targeted remediation or extra challenge.
• Substitute teach when teachers are absent/have meetings
• Ensure that rigorous, consistent instruction is continued even when teachers are out.
