Job Summary:

• Work with various species of dogs and cats with very infrequent contact with exotic pets. 
• Service requested with regards to breed-specific requirements. 
• Recommend services to pet owners who may be unsure what services best suit their specific pet breed. 
• Reports all problems to the first-line supervisor and makes suggestions on the successful operation or improvement of the facility.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of all pets lodged at the Pet Boarding facility. 
• Checks animals to ensure that no contagious pests or other infestations are present. 
• Follows prescribed water and feeding schedules per owner's instructions. 
• Observe all animals for changes in appearance and activity and report concerns to first-line supervisor for further instruction.
• Administers medications as required by pet owners, manager or first line supervisor. 
• Notify pet owners or points of contact when animals become ill, require immediate emergency treatment, or become a danger to themselves or other animals.

Job Summary:

• Follow the shelter protocols and procedures for the care of animals as well as shelter maintenance, as instructed by the shelter manager
• Feeding animals, cleaning cages and enclosures, monitoring animal behaviour and health, and execute enrichment and socialization activities as established by animal behavior specialists;

Job Summary:

• Uses knowledge of the appearance of the exterior of healthy fish or shellfish to recognize deviations from normal due to external/internal parasites, bacterial pathogens, or improper diet.
• Uses the following measurement instruments to perform animal caretaker duties, including dissolved oxygen meters, pH meters, water quality analyzers, blowers, timers, belt-feeders, recirculating aquaculture systems
• Decides the care required according to the individual needs and circumstances of fish or shellfish, or follows special instructions or procedures pertaining to the fish or shellfish (e.g., when administering medicine or feeding specific diets).
