- Experience in maintaining aircraft for continued safe operations, with a strong mechanical aptitude for inspecting equipment, identifying issues, and performing repairs, is required
- Experience with Hawker or Falcon aircraft is highly preferred
- A proven record of effectively communicating with supervisors, line service, parts, pilots, and dispatch is required
- A working knowledge of MS Office and Windows applications, especially Excel, is required
13. Aircraft Mechanic (Aviation Line Servicing)
A key member of the line servicing and inspection team, the Aircraft Mechanic carries out line servicing, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft and aircraft systems and components in accordance with quality, health, safety, and environment regulations while developing their own knowledge and skills through training and experience. Collaborating across engineering and document management functions, this role produces compliant, IT-supported maintenance outcomes by carrying out documentary transactions and maintaining an understanding of material consumption, ordering, and fit-and-remove processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Carries out line servicing, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft and aircraft systems and components in accordance with quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensures the requirements of competency checks are met in accordance with applicable quality procedures
- Carries out IT and documentary transactions as required, making full use of technology
- Maintains an understanding of material consumption, ordering, and fit-and-remove processes
- Develops own knowledge and skills base through training, use of technology, and experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in an aviation environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to follow procedures and technical documentation
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills are required
- Must be PC literate and able to work with engineering and document management systems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Good engineering hand skills
