AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer requires full qualification with appropriate certifications and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.   • Hold a valid Transport Canada M2 and FAA AandP aircraft maintenance engineer license.
  • Holding the following endorsements: B737-NG/MAX, A320 CL/NEO any additional 
  • Be familiar with the appropriate parts of the MPM, MCM, aircraft operations specifications and maintenance manuals necessary for the performance of his/her duties
  • Applicant must be able to work independently and/or in a team environment and have good organizational skills, pro-active, result-oriented and strive for continued improvement
  • Must have Airport Security Clearance (RAIC) including an airside driver’s permit (AVOP) for YYZ
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to company needs
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice and for extended periods
  • Valid passport and driver's licence
  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada restricted area pass
  • Available to work after hours occasionally.

2. BS in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of Experience

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, component maintenance and/or manufacturing processes

  • Are proficient in English, written and spoken
  • Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods
  • Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
  • Have physical dexterity to allow working in small spaces
  • Be willing and able to travel for 4 weeks at a time.

4. BS in Aviation Management with 4 years of Experience

  • Fully qualified maintainer is essential (appropriate Certificate III and/or IV in Aeroskills qualification)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defence security clearance, NEG Vet 1
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the security requirements for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS) clearance
  • Ability to read, interpret, speak and write fluently in English
  • Demonstrated computer (and related technology) literacy
  • Desirable Criteria
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety regulations (DASR)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and previous experience with using CAwR
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation: quality assurance procedures; maintenance/modification procedures; and, AMD and ICA documentation
  • Previous experience in a Defence Military Aerospace environment
  • Possession of a valid DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML)
  • Completion of aircraft systems type course

5. BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of Experience

  • Have experience with the CL 415/215T/215 aircraft
  • Have experience with CL 415/215T/215 systems
  • Have experience with general aircraft repair, fabrication and installation
  • Possess knowledge expected of an AME – M on aircraft types handled by the Company
  • Shall hold a valid AME “M1” or “M2” Transport Canada License; M2 is preferred or be eligible to be an apprentice to achieve this license
  • Cert IV in Aeroskills or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and it's applicability in the relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Experience in an Approved Maintenance Organisation environment
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  • Knowledge of and experience using CAMM2 preferred but not essential

6. BS in Aviation Technology with 4 years of Experience

  • Possess Transport Canada AME License M2
  • Possess Endorsement on the DHC 100/200/300 series aircraft
  • Previous experience with DHC-8
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Proven observational, decision-making and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership skills
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Must hold a valid passport and driver’s license
