Base Salary Range: 55,000 to 75,000 USD annually.

The Tester Analyst owns test preparation and execution across the SDLC, drafting test cases, scripts, and data while tracking software testing metrics for a large system implementation. Reporting to an assigned lead or manager and partnering with client stakeholders and project SMEs, this work helps interpret system design and inform policy aligned solutions across Health and Human Services programs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working on an Agile SDLC project for at least 1 year
• Experience of at least 2 years as a Business Analyst, Tester, PMO Analyst or Management Consultant
• Experience or passion for Health and Human Services
• Ability to travel 20 to 50 percent based on the work, clients and industries or sectors served
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Core Functions

• Examine existing IT systems and business models, analyze business and technical requirements and translate these into user stories and core functionality documentation
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet client requirements
• Work closely with IT developers to provide oversight and clarity on the development solution
• Perform business and functional solution design, technical analysis of platform capabilities and business process analysis
• Conduct end to end testing including supporting client UAT
• Perform technical testing including test automation, database manipulation and xml injection testing, as well as functional specification testing
• Support Solution Consultants in workshops and provide input into requirements on a consultative basis
• Learn the application, the business and the industry as well as the test tools and methodologies used

A key member of the test team, the Analyst Tester collaborates with developers, testers, and analysts to validate that software meets business requirements and delivery quality standards. Working closely with the Test Lead and client stakeholders, this work spans defect resolution, test automation candidate identification, and proactive communication to keep all parties aligned on testing progress, particularly within financial products and markets contexts.

• Collaborate with Developers, Testers and Analysts to implement and execute strategies that ensure software satisfies the business requirements and is delivered to the highest quality
• Discuss, understand and document client and/or internal business testing requirements with clients and internal staff
• Work with analysts to manage testing carried out by the client to have the software/processes signed off
• Defining test coverage to minimize business risk
• Generate clear and concise summaries on defects, communicate these defects to developers as well as manage and review the defect resolution process
• Identify areas for test automation and develop automated test scripts as required
• Support the Test Lead in achieving testing deadlines and proactively managing changes to testing requirements
• Proactively communicate with all parties to ensure they understand the current stage of testing activities

Skills & Qualifications

Reporting to the QA Lead, the Quality Analyst Tester develops test strategy, test cases, and test data to validate functional and database driven software releases. Partnering with the BA team and using Agile and JIRA based workflows, this work supports regression, integration, and sanity testing to keep assigned feature deliverables on schedule.
