• Manage the coordination of storage facilities to ensure materials are properly stored
• Examines invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations to ensure legal compliance
• Conducts inventory control, analysis and classification according to material management procedure to ensure effective use of resources and effective logistics deployment
• Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals to establish the range and depth of spares, tools and test equipment
• Tracks goods while they are en route to their destinations and expedites orders to ensure the timeliness of delivery
• Meet daily with the analyst team, project managers, and project engineers to set directions for work in the inventory area
• Pull each stock item either off the shelf, into the aisle, relocate to designated inspection areas or as otherwise instructed and make parts ready to inspect by removal or access through packaging
• Confirm the content and condition of stock items to gain a better knowledge of usable inventory and identify and segregate unusable inventory
• Record the condition, count and any other observations associated with discrete inventory locations and the stock items therein in the provided tally mechanism
• Replace stock items, organize and identify completed, accepted for use conditions
• Interact with program managers and/or project engineers to remedy unknown conditions
• Watch for opportunities to streamline the work being done to make things better, faster, cheaper and work within the team to drive improvements
