Job Summary:

• Own purchasing responsibilities within assigned categories
• Analyze sales data and develop projections to meet the needs of sales growth, seasonal purchasing swings and promotions
• Manage, monitor and adjust target inventory days on hand for products, then ensure products meet targets
• Own the PO and COGs data accuracy
• Audit gross margin data
• Help reconcile invoices against received purchase orders
• Help devise and help set quality standards for products, especially in fresh categories - produce, meat, dairy
• Work with the Operations team to ensure inbound products meet standards for quality and grade
• Work with the Operations team to minimize shrinkage
• Manage relationships with suppliers, especially when it comes to the quality of delivered goods
• Source new products, product lines and suppliers
• Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of new products, product lines and suppliers

Job Summary:

• Source and manage the product range from multiple suppliers
• Introduce new products/review old products, whilst identifying gaps in the market and customer needs
• Manage all supplier negotiations including pack sizes, packaging, lead times, promotions, cost prices and joint business plans
• Review and track sales data, updating reports and helping the merchandiser forecast future sales
