• Prepares framed wall panels for glass and aluminum cladding
• Sets Insulated Glass Units in the rough openings of the wall panels
• Shears, breaks and notches aluminum from sheet stock for panel components and trims

• Determine the location of framing, installation procedures, and staging or scaffolding materials
• Determine the plumb of walls or ceilings, using plumb lines and levels.
• Measure openings and dimensions of areas to determine work procedures.

• Use power tools and hand tools to drill and fasten framing members to the building structure

• Prepares complete fabrication package to the shop using the Glazier Studio software.
• Plans the machining of aluminum frames by reviewing shop drawings and vendor installation manuals like Kawneer and Alumicor.
• Build a custom metal group by copying the preloaded system in Glazier Studio and making changes to it based on the design shown on the shop drawings.
• Adjust parts fabrication parameters in Glazier Studio based on the first article mock-up assessed by the shop foreman.
• Create parts information in the Glazier Studio catalog database to be assigned in the project.
• Manage and set up a library of custom fabrication rules that can be uploaded to the metal fabrication to accommodate specific job requirements.
• Prepares fabrication drawings using AutoCAD
• Lift/assist in lifting larger items
• Check glass delivered is correct against each order and is not damaged, scratched or broken
• Carry out glazing of products (wet and dry glazing)
• Pace grills on the outside of the product and nail into place as appropriate
• Fill pin holes and any gaps in corners and paint
