• Promote and demonstrate safe working practices
• Liaise with the Open Pit Geologist regarding the deployment of sampling and dig control pursuant to production requirements and convey all information regarding known safety issues and any potential hazards noted.
• Liaise with the Open Pit Geologist and provide production support.
• Collect samples from Reverse Circulation drills and Production drills for the grade control program.
• Organize, dispatch and complete the chain of custody for dispatching samples to laboratories
• Organize, receive and store returning samples from laboratories
• Coordinate and report on quality control protocols in accordance with the standard operating procedures
• Assist in the training of pit personnel
• Maintain geological control of the ore body and grade tracking through routine supervision of grade control and mining activities

Job Summary:

• Minimise contamination between ore blocks and waste by directing and liaising closely with the Loader Operators, under the direction of the Open Pit Geologist.
• Ensure all designated blast hole cutting piles are sampled, plus a buffer of two samples were possible.
• Process and validate all returned data files and merge in preparation for the ore block design.
• Implement systems to ensure the proactive assessment/monitoring and reporting of dilution on claimed grade within the pit.
• Ensure production data is entered in a timely manner and cross-checked to ensure accuracy
• Assist the Open Pit Geologist with mapping activities
• Ensure all relevant geological plans/sections are maintained in a dynamic manner to reflect the status of current drilling and geological interpretation

• Participate in geological surveys including well logging, using tools such as Auxiliary & Conveyance, Casing Integrity, Acquisition & Software, Fleet & Surface Support, Nuclear-Porosity/Lithology, Micro Imaging.
• Formation Tester, Mechanical services, Perforation, and Production Logging.
• Plan and prepare the operational data/ reports to be submitted for tools and equipment.
• Perform wireline services such as Compact memory logging in vertical and high-deviated wells.
• Work with winch operation, depth control, tension, fishing, data acquisition and tool response.
• Prepare and review logs, data, and reports regarding distribution, processing, testing and archiving.
• Participate in Wireline cable tests, reheads, and tool preventative maintenance.
• Adjust mechanical equipment/devices for preventative maintenance such as calibration, tension, and depth system calibration.
• Follow Weatherford operation policies and procedures including Radiation, Ballistics, Pressure Control, and rig up.
• Perform job planning and preparation of tools and equipment and submit all required reports and data.
• Evaluate reports, ensuring compliance to policies, managing information and customer data and customer relations.
• Plot information for well logs.
