Job Summary:

• Work with the Quality function team to develop and implement appropriate Standard Operating Procedures to ensure CM’s manufacture consistently iRobot product within product specifications, pre-designed manufacturing methodology and standard procedures to ensure reliable and consistent product quality.
• Work with the Manufacturing testing team and manufacturing quality team to develop and implement a standard testing procedure for incoming materials, in-process testing and final product testing to ensure iRobot products meets quality standards.
• Follow up and investigate with customer claims and quality feedback. 
• Analyze the root cause of quality issues, develop and implement quality corrective actions to constantly improve product qualities.
• Influence and improve contracted factories to continuously improve its own quality system and quality organization to achieve error-proof product quality.
• In close collaboration with the sourcing team, costing team the CM and other sources of supply develop and support a costing structure for iRobot products.
• Define and clearly understand each cost item to ensure a win-win and profitable business relationship with iRobot and the contracted manufacturer.
• Understand the trends and industrial environment and provide full and immediate information regarding to labor, materials and overhead cost trends short-term and long term.
• Explore and lead implementation of cost-saving opportunities in product design, manufacturing process, logistics flow and other business processes. 
• Work with related function and factory/suppliers to take necessary actions to realize and maximize identified cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with the Material management team to understand the materials supplier base and establish business relationships with key materials suppliers.

Job Summary:

• Understanding of the materials vendor in terms of price range, industrial trends, and technology trends.
• Monitor and understand the total business of each commodity for each of the material vendors. 
• Initiate and manage regular price negotiations with material vendors by exploring volume and vendor consolidation.
• Monitor and evaluate materials vendor performance and develop a solid materials vendor base to support business growth.

Job Summary:

• Manage the factory notes (DN) process and represent the factories in the resolution of issues.
• Drive LEAN and continuous improvement in contracted suppliers and materials vendors to achieve vendor efficiency and reliable product quality.
• Drive and establish a continuous improvement culture in the contracted factory and the materials vendor to constantly improve the business process, the manufacturing efficiency the technology and the product cost.
• Support automation efforts to drive quality improvement and labor savings when appropriate
• Ensure the overall business health of the CM by closely monitoring and driving key performance indicators, including PO confirmation Speed, PO confirmation performance, Factory schedule adherence, Factory Completion performance, factory delivery performance, and overall delivery performance.
