• Prepare heavy-duty vehicles for testing, including replacing components and installing measurement instrumentation
• Work closely with engineering staff to ensure engines and vehicles are performing as requested during testing
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair test engines and vehicles
• Maintain the highest level of documentation, work area cleanliness and organization
• Keep abreast of new technologies
• Perform duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles
• Completes required paperwork with regard to repair orders and parts usage
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair in a timely manner.
• Document all steps that were taken to determine were not able to duplicate the concern on the no problem found form
• Attach the form to the repair order.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Return all warranty parts to the parts department 
• Parts Sales Representative stamp, sign, and date the repair order for each warranty part returned.
• Return all parts that have a core charge to the parts department in the original packaging.
• Save and tag any parts requested by a customer (except for any warranty parts).
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work
• Recommended and provide a complete estimate to Service Advisor before any repairs are started.
