1. BS in Radiologic Technology with 4 years of Experience

  • Must be competent in all basic radiological exams
  • Willingness to devote the time required completing the assigned tasks on schedule
  • ARRT certification in CT, or eligible to sit for the CT registry
  • Registered with the ARRT or equivalent and licensed with the state of Texas
  • Licensed with the Texas Medical Board and currently registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivocal
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and understanding of principles of physics, electricity and the methods of exposure.

2. BS in Radiography with 2 years of Experience

  • Knowledge of axial anatomy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiation protection concepts and techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiographic physics,
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic images with a minimum exposure to patients.
  • Ability to examine radiographs for the purpose of evaluation techniques, positions, and other related qualities.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment with patients during radiographic procedures.
  • Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired radiographic.

3. BS in Medical Imaging Technology with 5 years of Experience

  • ARCT or ARRT examination with a current license to practice radiographic technology 
  • Knowledge of axial anatomy and background in special procedures, E.I. biopsies, and basic knowledge of catheter and biopsy needles, etc. 
  • Intense concentration with instruments or procedures. 
  • Works under stressful conditions, interpersonal and computer skills. 
  • Proficient in advanced CT imaging techniques, above average knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, computer/PACS applications and good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
  • Skill in safe and efficient operation of Cat Scan equipment.
  • Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.
  • Knowledge of patient care and sterile techniques.
