- Must have the ability to weld in 2G, 3G, 4G, and 6G conditions.
- Heavy Wall Tube Certification including GTAW and SMAW to .620 wall thickness, SMAW unlimited and GTAW (Level 2), SMAW unlimited, GTAW unlimited, GTAW Inconel (Level 3).
- Must be able to Stick and Tig weld on Pipe.
- Must have current applicable welding certification with MSI or be able to successfully pass a weld test.
- Must be able to follow and stay within the limits of the WPS (Weld Procedure Specification).
- Must agree to affix stamp ID (Last 4 numbers of SSN) to each weld performed.
- Must have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work at heights
- Must be able to Stick and tie weld on pipe.
2. BS in Industrial Technology with 2 years of Experience
- Ability to pass ASME coupon tests and obtain ASME Certified Combination Welder
- Ability to weld mig, tig, and stick
- Ability to use Quality Assurance instruments and read blueprints
- Ability to lift arms/hands over one’s head
- Ability to quickly move hand, hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp and assemble objects.
- Ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Ability to see details at close range and follow standardized processes.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to handle light and average-weight parts.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to listen and learn from instructions, cooperate, and participate in the department's training program
3. BS in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of Experience
- Must be able to make weld repairs to pipe.
- Must have thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.
- Must have current applicable welding certification or be able to successfully pass a weld test.
- Must have experience welding multiple types of pipe including but not limited to carbon steel, stainless, and chrome.
- Must be able to assist pipe fitters in pipe installation, preparation, and fabrication while not actively welding.
- Must meet all physical demands (see section below).
- Experience working as an Industrial Pipe Fitter.
- Former experience working on a Chemical plant construction project.
- Must be flexible with assignment changes needed to fulfill production needs
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a group
