Job Summary:

• Picks up and delivers equipment from all areas of the hospital complex.
• Cleans and checks for the proper functioning of equipment e.g. Suction Machines Internal Feeding Pumps Airflow Motors Intravenous Infusion Pumps Patient Controlled Analgesia Pumps etc.
• Performs maintenance on equipment and replaces worn hoses vacuum bottles and gauges. 
• Refers to more complex problems e.g. motor malfunctions to BioMed or manufacturers service representative.
• Installs equipment such as side-rails trapeze assemblies and Stryker frames at bedside as requested.
• Deliver and provide functional guidance to personnel operating equipment on units in such a manner that it is immediately available for use in emergencies.
• Maintains and updates the Equipment Tracking Database indicating the location of equipment throughout the hospital complex.
• Operates gas and steam sterilizers following precise instructions
• Stamps each item with Julian's date load and machine number. 
• Determines expiration date of item and stamps as appropriate.
• Includes proper indicator(s) Biological Chemical Indicators (steam and gas) 
• Checked gauges for proper reading and pushed carriage into the sterilizer.
