CAD Design Engineer Roles:

• Lead/contributes to mechanical and electromechanical design in new and existing product development from ideation to manufacturing transfer.
• Support R&D engineering needs, design updates and refinement.
• Plan, lead, organize, execute, test, and train users on the advanced best practices for creating complex electromechanical CAD models.
• Plan, communicate, execute, and test, the integrated CAD (mechanical, electrical, and electronics) and PDM workflow best practices
• Provide detailed design and drawings and models for production level engineering requirements, including component specifications, procurement, inspection documents, and assembly instructions.
• Construct and manage CAD models, BOMs and DMRs, across several teams.
• Responsible for uniform CAD/PDM practices among different teams
• Lead CAD/PDM and associated tools administration.
• Upgrade software, and address issues
• Prepare and implement ECO’s
• Strong project management responsibilities

CAD Design Engineer Experience and Requirements:

• BSc. In Mechanical Engineering. Masters is a plus
• 12+ year experience in an electromechanical CAD design position, at least 4 years experience in medical device industry
• Experience in leading complex electromechanical systems from prototype to production
• SolidWorks proficiency with demonstrated experience with complex CAD modeling
• SolidWorks Surfacing experience
• Deep knowledge of mechanical design
• Experience with DFx (e.g., design for assembly, manufacturing, reliability, serviceability)
• Prior experience in leading and implementing CAD best practices
• Project management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• A passion for continuous improvement
• Experience with NX software
• Experience with MBD (Model-Based Design) and minimal dimensioning, embracing latest technology and approaches
• Demonstrated experience with integrated complex CAD modeling (Mechanical, electrical 2D/3D, and electronics)
• Design and implementation of SolidWorks PDM and workflow experience
• Experience in advanced FEA and other analysis (2D & 3D tolerance analysis, etc.)

CAD Designer Duties:

• Create drawings with AutoCAD using hardware manufacturer’s templates, engineering guidelines, sketches, and customer sketches according to manufacturing requirements
• Determine accurately all custom products’ components required for shop drawings
• Define and maintain hardware preparation requirements
• Create layouts and details for release to manufacturing
• Use document management systems
• Ensure compliance to industry standards and tolerance
• Provide technical and problem-solving support to Customer Service and Manufacturing
• Interpret templates and prepare drawings for the manufacturing requirement
• Work directly with customers to resolve template and drawing issues and maximize production efficiency and accuracy
• Assist and participate in estimation of projects

CAD Designer Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in drafting/detailing in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in mechanical design– highly desirable
• Diploma in Industrial Design, Mechanical Technology or Building Design
• Proven experience with AutoCAD
• Understanding of templates and drawings – a must
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings, blueprints or manufacturers templates
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturability
• Demonstrated intermediate math level for estimation
• Fluent in English or French; bilingualism is preferred not required

CAD Drafter Responsibilities:

• Creates project work prints based on designs put together by the designer
• Create drawings for the placement of fiber optic cables, poles, conduit, transmission equipment and associated electronics
• Create work prints based on current and past network architectures.
• This role is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of moderate to advanced complexity construction drawings for telecommunication projects.
• CAD drafter will be responsible for working closely with other drafters and Project Managers to produce high quality construction packages, process high quality as builds.
• CAD Drafter will focus on Drafting of Telecommunications backbone and distribution.

CAD Drafter Experience and Knowledge:

• AutoCAD experience and knowledge is preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD design/drafting techniques and software
• Prior exposure or familiarity with telecommunications environment highly preferred
• Knowledge of Autodesk CAD Software highly preferred
• Knowledge of O-Calc and Spida highly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Good organizational, planning and time management skills
• Must be open-minded and have initiative to learn and take on new tasks

CAD Engineer Functions:

• Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems.

• Run simulations and stress-tests on all 3D models before prototyping

CAD Engineer Education and Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture
• Degree from a technical college is also acceptable
• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD)
• Ability to draw manually is a plus

CAD Manager Duties:

• Plan, organize and manage 3D CAD projects and 3D Laser Scans for the Digital Twin journey.
• Manage project budget, resource identification, and schedule for the CAD projects and digital initiatives.
• Provide guidance and direction to the CAD initiatives to ensure operational and technical excellence.
• Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet Company needs.
• Manage CAD hardware and software systems and integrated databases.
• Work with other stakeholders regarding technical issues, training, and other CAD system issues.
• Initiate and maintain contact with Contractors/Licensors for clarification, coordination and negotiation of critical issues.
• Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
• Recommend best practices for solutions to meet the business needs.
• Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
• Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards

CAD Manager Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum a Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Several years of work experience in digital product development, industrial technology development, process engineering, operations improvements, or similar
• Curious, a quick learner, and collaborative
• Able to challenge ideas and views of stakeholders in a cross-cultural work environment
• Experience on 3D modeling platforms like Smart3D / SP3D, E3D and AutoCAD PLANT3D
• Experience on using Laser Scan files in 3D models and conversion
• Flexible and adopt new software platforms and digital initiatives

CAD Operator Details:

• Create, modify, manipulate existing drawings provided and incorporated into a shipyard standard format
• Transfer/Translate field information into AutoCAD
• Work with Facilities Director, Dockmaster, Contracts Department Project Managers, and Project Engineers to understand scope of work, schedule, budget, project instructions and responsibilities
• Complete drawing/submittal responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy
• Organize/maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in logical & well-structured manner on the shared drive.
• Candidate will also work with vendors to validate products manufactured from drawings
• Other duties may be assigned as workload dictates

CAD Operator Experience and Educations:

• 3-5 years of experience in drafting & AutoCAD
• Degree or certification in drafting preferred
• Basic knowledge of engineering principals
• Experience with SolidWorks preferred
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fluid and dynamic environment.
• Possess acute attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and accurately

CAD Specialist Roles:

• Creation of technical drawings, layouts, cutting tool drawings,
• Creating and optimizing high-quality packaging and development of new and innovative packaging formats in cooperation with customers
• Support Technical Project Managers and Product Developers in the development of new, customer driven complex projects and internal projects driven by ASC
• Project management of CAD projects
• Attend customer briefing and kick-off meetings, update meetings, review meetings etc.
• Advising the customer in improvement of established and new packaging format
• Support and give advice to other departments and plants in the Amcor group
• Support and align with CAD Specialists in other locations

CAD Technician Responsibilities:

• Work with custom programs to create detailed drawings, and when necessary, bills of material to be used in the manufacture and installation of our products.
• Review design information, site plans, and manuals to determine critical dimensions of design.
• Perform calculations to produce design information necessary to create Fabrication drawings.
• Utilize applications such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Excel on a daily basis in completing drawings to meet project deadlines.
• Confer with design staff to determine design requirements, modifications, and issues.
• Efficiently produce accurate drawings for review and approval by design staff.
• Prioritize assigned projects based on date due.
• Coordinate with other team members to accomplish required tasks.
• Submit and review drawings with peers as needed, before design staff review.
• Develop and maintain standard and custom details for all product families.
• Interface between Commercial Operations, precasters, fabrication plant managers, customer service representatives and structural engineers when necessary.
• Review precaster drawings as needed.

CAD Technician Abilities, Experience and Requirements:

• Strong technical skills including an academic background in AutoCAD and proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
• Excellent math skills.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in conditions that may pose frequent changes, delays, and/or unexpected events.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, technical manuals, and engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the engineering field.

CAD Manager Functions:

• Provide leadership to both the variable CAD team as it relates to innovation, training, quality assurance, etc.
• Ability to work across cultures, languages and geographic regions with consistency
• Ability to streamline/lean-out all processes to provide clients the best in class CAD services
• Provide & Review monthly reporting for billing purposes
• Analysis of weekly/monthly utilization for variable CAD teams to manage work load and work flow between teams
• Manage overall relationship between CAD teams and Account OP Leads (which are the CAD team’s clients)
• Properly polyline and label room numbers
• Ensure that all documents are in compliance with JLL standards and layering formats
• Create attributed polylines for space allocation tracking and/or charge backs
• Load drawings to FMS or other CAFM
• Populate FMS with space categories, space types, space standards, room numbers, names and business organization
• Establish and maintain a library of master drawings accessible to JLL and clients

CAD Manager Experience and Knowledge:

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• 2-3 years of Team Management
• 5 years of CAD/CAFM Technical and Project-Related experience in a Corporate Real Estate environment. Strong understanding of occupancy planning, architectural design.
• A strong working knowledge of CAD/CAFM Systems.
• Excellent MS skills inducing- Power Point, Excel, Access, Word.
• Experienced in managing multiple CAD/CAFM Implementations and Projects simultaneously and remotely.
