Based within the Fabric Design Manager's team, the technologist supports design reviews, client and site meetings, and BIM-based documentation across RIBA Stages 2-6.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Fabric Design Manager on minor works refurbishment projects
  • Provide high-quality technical support, producing detailed drawings and specifications across RIBA Stages 2-6
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications for the Architectural discipline
  • Carry out measured surveys and incorporate them into existing building plans
  • Produce CAD drawings and details for design development, client presentation, tender issue, and construction
  • Attend client and site meetings as required
  • Support the Design Manager with design details, specifications, and drawing reviews as required


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with and understanding Building Regulations and British Standards, and experience working in a multi-disciplinary design office, including experience carrying out measured surveys and specification writing, including NBS Spec writing
  • Knowledge and experience in design for accessibility
  • A keen eye for design and technical skills in working with new and existing buildings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and appropriate IT, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and able to work within a BIM environment and associated software; Revit experience advantageous but not essential

As the Senior Architectural Technologist, this role develops design, detailing, and specification for projects spanning blue light, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors in Leicester. 16. Senior Architectural Technologist (RIBA Project Delivery)

Senior Architectural Technologist oversees technical drawings and working drawing production through all RIBA work stages for large, complex projects in Newcastle. The work directly supports efficient project delivery, mentoring of junior technical staff, and strong relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, and Local Authorities.
