15. Analytics Developer (Tableau Visualization)
Analytics Developer advances Tableau dashboard development by defining, retrieving, and analyzing large datasets across SQL, SAP Hana, Redshift, and PostgreSQL to create innovative, interactive scorecards and predictive model visualizations for customers. The work directly supports product owners, data engineers, analysts, and business Tableau power users by executing technical requirements and providing L1 and L2 production support on dashboards and related applications.
Areas of Ownership
- Define, retrieve, and analyze large datasets across multiple internal and external sources using SQL, APIs, SAP Hana, Redshift, and PostgreSQL.
- Incorporate parameters, sets, advanced calculated fields, level of detail and table calculations, user filters, action filters, and advanced technical charts into Tableau dashboards.
- Create innovative, interactive dashboards and scorecards for key performance indicators tailored to customers.
- Build intuitive dashboards to illustrate results from predictive models for advanced analytics projects.
- Participate in regular discussions with product owners, consultants, analysts, data engineers, and other team members to execute technical requirements.
- Coach business Tableau power users in new Tableau capabilities to improve their visualizations.
- Provide production support on dashboards and related applications at L1 and L2 level.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.
- 4 to 7 years of experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau software versions 2019.x and above.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with data extraction and analysis using complex SQL, preferably MS SQL.
- Experience with advanced Tableau topics such as complex calculations, table and LOD calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, and advanced filter actions.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise-level implementation of reporting projects.
